TESTIMONIAL "I'm
a single woman and was hesitant about making a decision on a home repair service. But I would soon realize that
calling Affordable Home Repairs was the best decision I could have made. When the job was done, I had
no regrets. They were affordable, and the contractor who was sent out to do my home repairs was very professional
and his work was excellent."

ENERGY EFFICIENCY TIP This time of the year, it’s a good idea to make
sure doors and windows are properly sealed to improve energy efficiency. Cracks and gaps in doors and windows are a
strong source of heat loss that can be completely stopped with a simple, easy to use caulking compound. Caulking is a DIY project that can be done at a nominal cost. There are
different types of caulk. Latex is a popular type of caulk for doors and windows. One benefit of latex caulk
is the fact that it can be painted. It’s also easy to work with and cleans up easily with just a little soap and water.
Most caulking
compounds come in a 10oz. tube and can be applied with a caulking gun. Some come in a smaller tube. Before beginning your
caulking project, be sure to remove any old caulk by using a scraping tool. Make sure your surface is clean and dry
before applying caulk. Once caulk is applied, use your finger to smooth it over, or use a tool.
Be proactive. Complete this DIY project today!
